My new red dot sight, the Holosun SCS‑P10‑GR for the CZ P10F OR, has arrived!
why the Holosun SCS‑P10‑GR?
Purchase criteria were (apart from Black Friday) among others

- It fits my CZ P10F OR without the need for an adapter.
- green reticle (I somehow prefer it over a red one)
- adjustable between dot, circle, or dot+circle
It will be used on my Production Optics gun, the CZ P‑10F OR (obviously!), which I plan to shoot more frequently with in the upcoming season.
The “old” MAK MAKdot SXP (round count currently at 1,662 shots of 9mm, without any issues) will of course not be retired. Instead, it will move over as a secondary optic to my Oberland Arms OA15 or my PCC, not quite sure yet.

The Holosun SCS‑GR features click adjustments for elevation and windage, with 1 MOA increments per click.
At 25 meters, one click would therefore be about 7 mm.
With the included screwdriver (which can also be used for mounting if necessary), the adjustment screws can be set. The clicks are not really noticeable, but of course that may simply be a matter of personal perception.
A total adjustment range of ±30 MOA for elevation and windage should actually be sufficient.
first impressions
In contrast to the Glock MOS version, this red dot is made of rugged 7075‑T6 aluminum and not titanium. That is how it is supposed to be.
This red dot does not have a shake‑awake function, so during a match a sight picture is mandatory (which should be done anyway). Although it can be switched off, I intend to leave it on permanently, since the battery can easily handle it.
The switch (incidentally the only one) is not only used for turning the sight on or off; by pressing and holding it, you can cycle through the different reticles: dot, circle, and circle‑dot. It is quite easy to operate.
There is no need to change the battery; it is no coincidence that SCS stands for Solar Charging Sight 😉
The brightness cannot be adjusted manually but is controlled by sensors that adapt to the ambient light. Pressing and holding the switch sets the brightness to maximum, but after 30 minutes it automatically resets.
The reticles are surprisingly sharp and only slightly blurred for me to see. The keyword ‘astigmatism’ I have certainly mentioned elsewhere before, which is why test‑viewing is recommended if you have the opportunity.
From a purely visual standpoint, the Holosun makes quite an impression; it looks small and sleek.
On the CZ it looks even better, and I personally like it a lot. In addition, it sits really low on the pistol, and the mounting without an adapter plate is certainly a good solution.
summary Holosun SCS‑P10‑GR
I think I made a good purchase with the Holosun, and I hope it was my last red dot, at least for the P10.
Next, the Holosun will go to the shooting range, sighting‑in is on the agenda – so in due course there will be an update.
Conclusion: I had been considering this red dot for quite some time, and the Black Friday offer (although buying directly from Holosun would have been cheaper) came at just the right moment—so I went for it.
It matches my expectations 100%. How it will prove itself in practice—well, the future will tell!

mounting on the CZ P-10 F
- The SCS-P10-GR is specifically designed for CZ P-10 OR models and mounts directly onto the slide without the need for an adapter plate.
- The package includes the appropriate mounting screws, precisely matched to the optics-ready cuts.
- According to the Holosun manual, the recommended tightening torque is 15–20 in-lbs (inch-pounds), which corresponds to approximately 1.7–2.3 Nm. (I used 2.0 Nm)
- A small Torx driver is included. Using a torque wrench is strongly recommended to avoid overtightening or insufficient fastening.
Note: Screws should be secured with a medium-strength threadlocker (e.g., Loctite 243) to prevent loosening due to recoil. Also check the screws after a few live rounds.

don’t take this too serious, but turn on the sound 😉
