The Model „M“ is a slightly modified version of the base model IZH-18
The barrel length ranges from approximately 710 to 725 mm, offering a good balance between maneuverability and accuracy. With an unloaded weight of around 2.8 kg, the Baikal 18M is light enough for extended carry during hunting trips, yet heavy enough to absorb recoil effectively and provide a stable shooting experience.

Thanks to its affordable price, robust construction, and dependable performance, the Baikal 18M remains a popular choice for both novice and experienced hunters. It is a fine example of Russian firearm engineering—practical, efficient, and built to last.
